As The Small Business Copywriter I help business owners and sole traders overcome content-related challenges & grow.
Since 2006 I’ve worked with clients to produce winning content for websites, blogs, eCommerce sites and more. As well as producing new or refreshed copy, I regularly work with clients to create a highly effective content strategy.
In 2017 I founded Thirsk Coworking, a free local coworking group open to all. Thirsk Coworking exists to boost accountability and reduce isolation for those attending.
I have worked with clients from multiple sectors. I’ve worked as a copywriter for digital marketing agencies, vaping clients, retail businesses, eco-focused enterprises, charities, the financial sector, service-led businesses, coaches, wedding photographers, virtual assistants, and more.
My services include (but are not limited to):
📌 Blog writing services 📌 Website content (new and refreshed) 📌 Product descriptions 📌 Article writing 📌 Content management 📌 Freelance writing for numerous publications
My copywriting services reflect what businesses today need in terms of content that converts, is true to their brand, their core principles and engages their target audience.
I have been copywriting for fifteen years. Previously I worked with large agencies, big corporations (etc) but niched down years ago to follow my passion which is working with small businesses, sole traders and startups.
Working with small businesses is something I love and therefore I spend a lot of time working on building a solid content foundation for them to build on and grow from. This includes website copy, blog posts, sales pages, product descriptions and more.
I like to keep things simple. To start with clients are invited to book a 15 minute (free) discovery call with me. After that, I can provide a no-obligation quote (if appropriate).

A discovery call can be one of two things:
1) An initial chat about copywriting work you know you want and need where we hammer out some details so that I can provide a quote.
2) A chat about your needs, whether working with a copywriter is right for you and your budget right now. If appropriate I will still provide a no-obligation quote after we've spoken.
