The trouble is, many of them struggle to articulate what that is. But that’s completely understandable, especially considering you’re focussing on running your business, rather than expressing what do you and why you do it. Cobblers. Shoes…?
I’m a marketing consultant and coach, and rather than being a generic label, it means that I work firstly by understanding your challenges and what you want to achieve.
If your business growing but making that step to employing a full-time marketing role isn’t right for you, then I can help. If you’re struggling to find your voice, to tell your story and to be heard, then I can help. If you’re conscious of your effect on the environment and want to create a sustainable business, then I can help.I’m most effective as a consultant is understanding why you want a website or a campaign, or what is your overall aim of gaining media presence. If you don’t know – I can work with you to uncover these aims and goals so when we put a plan together, it’s with purpose, direction and a measurable outcome.
I am a relationship-driven person and find getting the right combinations of personalities to be a priority.
A large part of this is aligned values which begins with respect and good, clear communication.
I prefer not to over complicate marketing, and instead focus on getting the right foundations in place before recommending budgets are spent aimlessly. This means getting the fundamental basics right.
An ideal client is someone who aims to improve other people's lives in some form, and preferably this aim is inwardly focussed too.
25 years experience working in the beverages, financial, FMCG, retail, utilities, telecoms and charity sectors. Experience is B2B and consumer focussed.
I've worked with some of the biggest (and smallest) brands in these sectors - either on my own or as part of a large PLC. Budgets may differ, but challenges remain,

Working with people.
I'm not arrogant and have little time for fancy job titles. It's what you do, and how you do it that counts.
I'd like to think I'm a good translator - helping people un-jumble their thoughts and ideas, and then put them into practice.
I've helped clients and employers achieve various awards - such as specialist awards in Point of Sale design (POPAI), film making and more recently, Queen's Award for Enterprise.
I've also brought several organisations and products to market in the UK and Europe too - which is always a great challenge, but rewarding to see people's dreams become a reality. Is "dreams" a bit of an exaggeration? Not really. Everyone starts with a dream..
I love helping people and organisations to extract great ideas from their mind, then articulate them to their audience.
I like to work collaboratively - it saves unnecessary surprises and it brings better results. Although I work remotely as a freelancer (although can work in your offices) it's important that I understand your market and your business.
All markets have different challenges, and all businesses have different aspirations and comfort levels. It's part of my role to understand these.
A little note from us at Everyday People
