Photography of people, places and food for lifestyle, heritage and hospitality brands. I have over 15 years of experience helping businesses create amazing first impressions through bespoke images for advertising and marketing. I am renowned for my documentary storytelling approach and eye for detail. I am a location specialist and able to offer an adaptable approach confidently covering different genres of photography across a single commission. As an example, a boutique hotel or heritage attraction marketing campaign will typically cover off lifestyle of people, interiors, food, details and landscape in a single shoot. I am based in York and commissions takes me across Yorkshire and the UK
Some key words - Honest. Authentic. Down to earth. Community.
I have over 15 years experience and such a fantastic and varied client based. From commissions for agencies and International brands right through to working with small indie start ups.
Lifestyle people photography for hospitality and heritage sectors. Natural light food photography. Authentic personal branding portraits. Lifestyle product photography. Location photography.
A long career that I love and has never involved the Sunday night fear!!
I love working with people who live and breathe what they do and helping them to share their story and passion. Also working with brands built on family heritage and skills handed down over generations.
Capturing process and being able to share what goes on behind the scenes always feels like such a privilege. I always adore photographing hands at work.
I love portrait sessions where there is the opportunity to take a grittier and more authentic approach - taking a big step away from typical corporate portraiture.
I bring a more gentle and sensitive approach to the commercial photography world. I keep gear to a minimum on location to minimise disruption. I'm always looking for the best ambient light but supplementing with portable flash when needed for best results. I like to photograph real moments when possible keeping staging to a minimum. This leads to the really authentic and natural images I am known for. I like to ensure that my clients get the most from their investment in professional photography and so always future proof the content of the shoot to cover any upcoming marketing messages. I also love to encourage editorial exposure and will always be looking to capture magazine worthy images for my clients.
